The third edition of the English Dictation Competition:

English Dictation is an educational event promoting the learning and practicing of the English language. It is an open, nationwide competition for pupils over 12 years old.

The texts for the eliminations and the final of English Dictation 2005 will be written by professor Jack Lonergan from the University of Westminster. The British actor Derek Jacobi has kindly agreed to record the texts that will be used.

The Dictation will be widely promoted by the media both locally and nationwide.

Laureaci English Dictation 2005 mogą zdobyć wiele cennych nagród, w tym wyjazdy na kursy językowe do Wielkiej Brytanii i nagrody rzeczowe.

The competition winners will receive varied valuable prices - amongst these prizes are Language courses in the UK and books.

The eliminations will be held on 22nd April 2005. It will be possible to take part in many ways: in the on-line eliminations; by listening to the text that will be broadcast by Radio PiK; or in the secondary and high schools which decide to cooperate. Last year, there were over 2000 people who took part in the eliminations!

The final, for the best 200 contestants, is on 21st May 2005 in Bydgoszcz, at 10 am in the Polish Theatre Hall in Bydgoszcz.
